Description :
Scilab is a scientific software package intended for numerical
computations, developed by INRIA (the French National Institute for Research
in Computer Science and Control). Scilab provides a number of different
features: support for elaborate data structures (polynomial, rational and
string matrices, lists, multivarable linear systems, etc.); a sophisticated
interpreter and programming language with a syntax like Matlab\'s; hundreds
of built-in math functions; high quality graphics including 2D/3D and
animation; an open structure which allows for easy interfacing with Fortran
and C; many built-in libraries; and symbolic capabilities through the Maple
interface.
