Description :
The curses library routines are a terminal-independent method of
updating character screens with reasonable optimization. The
ncurses (new curses) library is a freely distributable replacement
for the discontinued 4.4BSD classic curses library.
The ncurses3 package contains an older version of the ncurses CRT
screen handling and optimization package. This version (1.9.9e) was
shipped with Red Hat Linux before Red Hat Linux version 5.0 and is
provided in binary format only.
Install the ncurses3 package if you use applications which need
ncurses version 1.9.9e.
