Description :
Icecast is an Internet-based broadcasting system based on MPEG Layer
III streaming technology. Icecast allows transmission of MPEG Layer
III streams which can be played by almost any standard MP3 player on
almost any platform. WinAmp can send both encoded streams and can
stream music from icecast. Icecast can use the yp.shoutcast.com and
other directory services, and is almost completely Shoutcast
