Summary : Static standard C libraries with debugging information
|
Description :
The glibc-debug package contains static standard C libraries with debugging information. You need it only if you want to step into C library routines during debugging programs statically linked against one or more of the standard C libraries.
To use this debugging information, you must link binaries with the -L/usr/lib/debug compiler option.
If you want to see glibc source files during debugging, you should issue the following commands:
rpm -i glibc-2.3.2-2.src.rpm rpm -bp /usr/src/build/226893-i386/SPECS/glibc.spec
If you are unsure whether you need this, do not install this package.
