Packager : (none)
Summary : Pattern that installs the Relax-and-Recover (rear) disaster recovery framework
Description :
The rear-pattern installs a Relax-and-Recover (rear)
disaster recovery framework package that match the
used SUSE Linux Enterprise or openSUSE system.

For one product like SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 or
SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 we provide several
Relax-and-Recover versions in parallel so that users
where version N does not support their particular needs
can upgrade to version M but on the other hand users
who have a working disaster recovery procedure with
version N do not need to upgrade.

Therefore the SUSE rear* package names contain the version
(e.g. rear116, rear1172a, rear118a) and all packages conflict
with each other to avoid that an installed version gets
accidentally replaced with another version.

For one product like SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 or
SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 the rear-pattern installs
one of those rear* packages that match the used product.

Usually the rear-pattern installs the newest of those
rear* packages that is available for the used product.

The rear-pattern forcefully installs its specified
rear* package by mercilessly overwriting any older
installed rear* package, see the README.SUSE file.

Currently it installs those rear* packages:
openSUSE Tumbleweed : rear
openSUSE Leap 42.1 : rear
openSUSE 13.2 : rear
openSUSE 13.1 : rear
SLE12-SP1 : rear1172a
SLE12-GA : rear116
SLE11-SP4 : rear116
SLE11-SP3 : rear116

Warning for users who upgrade Relax-and-Recover:
Users who already use it must re-validate that their
particular disaster recovery procedure still works.
