Summary : A console hexadecimal editor by Pixel (Pascal RIGAUX)
|
Description :
This package contains Hexedit, a console hexadecimal editor which displays the file as ASCII text and hexadecimal characters code together. It features: -File modification. -Search through the file (ASCII text or hexadecimal character codes). -Cut, copy and paste.
This implementation of Hexedit was written by Pixel (Pascal RIGAUX) and is available on his website: http://rigaux.org/hexedit.html. I applied to it a patch coming from Volker SCHATZ (http://www.volkerschatz.com/unix/hexeditpatch.html) to get advanced hexadecimal search (masking and alignement)
