Description :
Watchdog is a daemon that checks if the system is alive and working. It
periodically writes to /dev/watchdog; if the device is opened but not
written to within a configurable time period, the watchdog timer expires
and triggers a machine reboot. Watchdog additionally can execute programs
in user space to check the machine state.
