Description :
Libevent provides an API to execute a callback function when a specific event
occurs on a file descriptor or after a timeout has been reached. Furthermore,
it also support callbacks due to signals or regular timeouts. It is meant to
replace the event loop found in any event driven network servers. Currently,
it supports /dev/poll, kqueue, event ports, select, poll and epoll.
