Description :
With confinedrv you may limit existing partitions to read only or no-read access by creating an own virtual drive with confined access rights mirroring the original. This can f.i. be used by a virtual machine to safely boot into one or more operating systems that reside on the same disk as your host operating system; for use with Qemu or Virtualbox. Furthermore it contains a tool to compress sparse files containing many zero blocks. This is useful for iso creation when burning disk images on CD. Two security related script bundles allow permanent shredding/deletion of a directory tree also obfuscating file names, as well as storing and checking sha256 checksums on/from external media.
