Description :
The program takes a series of at least three FITS images obtained
with different focal positions (of some optical element) assuming
the star blobs have different diameters. By extracting in each
of the FITS images diameters with sextractor(1) and drawing a quadratic
fit through these diameters as a function of the focal position, a
presumably best focal position is computed.
The program requires at run time presence of the sex(1) binary
of astromatic.net/sextractor,
and for optional interactive quality assessment also ds9(1).
