Description :
PROJ is a standard UNIX filter function which converts geographic longitude and
latitude coordinates into Cartesian coordinates (and vice versa), and it is a
C API for software developers to include coordinate transformation in their own
software.
The main purpose of PROJ is to transform coordinates from one coordinate
reference system to another. This can be achieved either with the included
command line applications or the C API that is a part of the software package.
This package contains libproj and the appropriate header files and man pages.
