Description :
This package contains a plugin for use with the VMware Tools daemon (vmtoolsd). This plugin collects guest configuration and state information (eg. storage capacity, networking state) and makes this information available via the vSphere SDK.

NOTE: This is an OSP component package and is generally not directly installed by end users. The standard practice is to pick a VMware Tools meta packages (such as vmware-tools-esx or vmware-tools-esx-nox) and install it.
